One Malaysia

Nowadays, challenges of globalization sweeping across the world require each country set their strategies so that they do not feel disconnected from current progress of the world and become victim’s oppression of others. In order to face this situation, all Malaysians, regardless of ethnicity and religious affiliations, should act as a nation, namely, Bangsa Malaysia,   think and act to achieve the same goals which is to build a better country advanced, secure, peaceful and prosperous and able to compete with other people in the world.

1Malaysia is a concept introduced by Prime Minister Dato 'Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak to promote unity among Malaysians, based on several key values that should be the practice of every Malaysian. It's not a new policy separate from the policies of the government before it, rather it is complementary to the approaches available to strengthen the unity to ensure stability, to achieve progress and development is higher for the people and country .In other words, 1Malaysia founded as a formula that will help ensure that the aspirations of the country, the Vision 2020 is achieved when it is applied into the minds of the people and adopted by all levels of society.

1Malaysia is intended to provide a free and open forum to discuss the things that matter deeply to us as a Nation. It provides a chance to express and explore the many perspectives of our fellow citizens. What makes Malaysia unique is the diversity of our peoples. 1Malaysia’s goal is to preserve and enhance this unity in diversity which has always been our strength and remains our best hope for the future.
Concept 1Malaysia clarified by YAB Dato ' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak:"We stand, we think and act as Bangsa Malaysia. We adopt action based on the needs of all groups ethnicity in our country.
Based on the definition, 1 Malaysia is the idea of harmonizing people of various races in this country without changing the identity of the races.
